Houston Texas Update

Hi,
Our prayers go out to all those effected by the flooding in the Houston area.
We are checking addresses and will delay shipping to anyone in the flooded area. We will try to check in with those people individually. We dont want our kickstarter to add any extra stress or concern.

Hello Friends!
We are in the midst of production. But, we wanted to make sure you didn't think we had forgotten you. Many people have come up and asked 'how are you making these beautiful boxes.' So, this update is to tell you how. If you arnt interested in the details, you can stop here. Just know that things are proceeding as planned!
1. Lumber. We are getting our American Black Cherry wood from a local supplier and mill here in Salt Lake City. We get it cut to width and sanded in 2 sizes, 1 for boxes, 1 for lids.
2. Cut it up. We cut all of the boards into 5x5 inch blanks that fit into a template we build for our CNC machine.
3. Each box goes through 8 distinct tool paths to mill out the boxes and lids.
4. Laser Etching. All of the artwork gets etched onto the lids
5. Boxes are sanded
6. Magnets are glued in
7. Finishing coat
We have already cut out all of the leather, foam, and felt inserts for the boxes. We are done milling all of the lids, and have begun laser etching them. Now we are onto cutting our box blanks and milling those.
The Cherry is absolutely gorgeous, sap, grain, genetic defects in the tree, and imperfections make each piece completely beautiful and unique. We cant wait for you to receive them.

Production Update

Hello Friends!
Quick production update as well as a couple happy surprises.
We have already finished cutting out all of the felt, foam, and leather. We decided to purchase our own laser machine instead of outsourcing that part of the work. This has resulted in a couple nice upgrades for you.
1. Better quality laser etching for the artwork. The right-hand piece is what we advertised during our campaign. But, now we can do the left-hand piece; far cleaner and bolder
2. Leather. For everyone who got leather lining in the lids, we are throwing in leather lining for the box as well! Here is a shot of all our cuts of leather (phone photography doesnt show off the beauty of this leather very well.....)

Survey's Last Day

Thank you all for filling out the Survey. It will be locked down first thing tomorrow (Saturday). But, there are still a few people who have not completed it.

If you haven't completed the survey, please do so ASAP. If you do not complete it, then message us, Facebook PM us, contact us on our website, etc (please get in touch!). We want you to get your Character Crates! However, if you do not respond in the Survey, we cannot guarantee delivery in September. We apologize, but you might be pushed back into our second production run with delivery in December (along with the IndieGoGo backers). We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are entering production this week and we need our final counts.
As always, we want to be timely and transparent with our communication. If anyone has any issues, please reach out. We will be posting an update about every 3 weeks. Thank you all for your support!
